Thanks for thinking about making a contribution to my campaign. Although I intend to run a very low-budget campaign, there will be some spending. We will be printing brochures, sending out some mail, and getting supplies to make some home-made yard signs. All these things have a cost.

My campaign contribution limit will again be $50.00 per person. You can click here to make an online contribution or you can send a check, made out to Friends of Sheila Simon, to P.O. Box 353, Carbondale, IL 62903-0353. Gail Thomas is the campaign treasurer. She’ll make sure the money is deposited and put to good use in the course of the campaign.

Even though none of this is required to be disclosed by current election laws, I think everyone should be able to have access to this information. If you do not wish to be listed as a contributor, make your donation to my campaign by urging your friends to vote for me. That’s one of the best contributions you can make anyway. And if you’re an employee of the city of Carbondale, I appreciate your support but I won’t accept your contribution. There should be absolutely no connection between contributions and employment with the city.

We will be making reports regularly during the campaign. A copy of our report filed with the County Clerk is or will be available for purchase from the County Clerk, Jackson County Courthouse, Murphysboro, IL 62966. The reports will also be published here at our website.
